The abode of weirdness

A few meticulously bullied children found solace
A few disrupted souls started living with grace
A few tarnished hearts found their peace
Life’s woes began to ease
In this era of gadgets began a new abode
For the weird, destitute and bored
Where their type of weird became global
And the world became local
As soothing as the sound of raindrops kissing the window pane
A million broken hearts tried to heal each other’s pain
While many argue the ills and thrills of the internet
Some found a joyous world where they needn’t fret
A world beyond the realms of their sorrowful reality
A world full of dreams, promises and glee
The internet is indeed the abode of weirdness
Where people like you and I can leave aside our stress
Where we can shrink the boundaries and embrace our frailty
Where one can be their strange self without feeling guilty
In a world where indeed birds of a feather flock together
A world where happiness is the only season, mirth is the only weather
Yes, the internet provided a sphere for alter egos, for new realities
Yes, the internet created a new underground where life moves with ease
There are new job opportunities but above all new identities
This is a parallel world, where the scarred soul can have its secret riches
Words are caressed as we witness broken souls bloom

Joy is distributed as we witness mirth destroy gloom!

Maturity Defies Age

In an era where man is ruled by gadgets
Where the world refuses to bury all hatchets
War crimes are rampant
Innocence is absent
I saw myself growing up faster, thinking quicker

Where the opposition is brutal
Where mental wounds are fatal
In such a cruel world I exist
All simple joys I continue to resist
As I have to move swifter, I have to act tougher

I envy the ones who have lived before me
No media scrutiny, they lived angst free
The mind is now a dark cloud of grey
The pure and pious seem to have no say
I’ve got to become colder as the path keeps getting rougher

Goodness seems to remain a thing of the past
Infanthood is all the while that the naivety shall last
The world has become smaller and global in the true sense
Yet we have no time to stop all bloodshed and make amends
Debt ridden livelihood thanks to the recession
Guilt ridden conscience thanks to this monetary obsession
I wish my morals were better, I wish my ethics were sounder.

As maturity continues to defy age
Puny teens becoming tougher to gauge
Childhood seems a long lost riddle
The world we live in is my unsolved puzzle
I shall keep solving it harder, keep looking for the answers deeper!

Ready-made Families

Two souls distance apart brought together by fate
Bonding so strong, time’s tides cannot make it abate

She embraced him in her life and so did he
Two hearts bonded with passion and glee

A common passion sparked a plug of camaraderie so true
That passion served as their inseparable glue

They say family is written in the stars elsewhere
Such stereotypes was broken by this far apart pair

This was sibling love between two different souls
Some part of their incomplete lives becoming one whole

They were close all through
As the seed of trust in their hearts grew

Such siblings are the magical tales of this internet generation
Amalgamating souls, their hearts and aspiration

She was his sibling from another house
Bickering and also enjoying, like cat and mouse

He was her friend and adviser
Who wanted her to grow wiser and wiser

Lucky is this generation which can have “readymade” siblings and a soul mate

And can create their own families besides the one provided by fate
